“The room had not been prepared: no flowers, no fruit, the bed not turned up for the night, no bedside water, no bedside mat.The Gotham suite, better decribed as a double room rather than a suite, was booked for 3, bathroom accessories supplied for 1 person only, with 1 sink only. the dinner at the bar for usd 500 was in front of a gigantic baseball screen as if in a cheap suburbian bar. at the end of the dinner i asked for my usd 250 champagne bottle to be brought to the room. the waiter failed to do so leaving it in front of the lift only to be drunk by some random guests passing. The hotel didnt have hot water until 10:00 in the morning the day after . the usd 250 massage for 50 min was mediocre, the spa receptionist insisting on adding a tip. i spent usd 2500 for a 12 h experience in a hotel that has completely lost its understanding of 5 star hospitality. The management as a compensation for this experience offered... half a bottle of champagne!”
