“The breakfast was amazing! Every morning there is a new menu, small changes to the menu (e.g. Cheesecakes one morning, pancakes the other), but it made the breakfast even better with so different choices every day. The room is small but very comfy. Good value for money I'd say. The location is great - we didn't mind to walk to almost everything. It's about 20 minutes from the Church of Spilled Blood, 20-25min to St Isaac's Cathedral etc. But if you're not a fan of walking, there's a Metro about 15min from the hotel. All in all, great!”

“Friends on Fontanka is ideally localized near the Fontanka Embankment. It has comfortable rooms, nice staff and very good cafeteria-restaurant serving tasty and healthy breakfast (few meals to choose, mainly different kinds of scrambled eggs, cereals boiled on milk or Russian pancakes). It is very save and serves as perfect base to visit Petersburg though you should remember that the city is huge and it takes time to get on foot anywhere. The hotel is perfect for theatergoers (and I am the one): it is next to Bolshoy Theatre and few steps from Alexandrinsky. I chose the hotel just few days before going to Russia - it was an impulse. And I was very pleased with it. Definitely would recommend Friends on Fontanka it to anyone travelling to St Petersburg both for visiting and business.”
