The mattress was comfortable for tired travelers and the eiderdown duvets were deliciously warm. Breakfast was the best I have ever enjoyed at an Italian hotel - a lovely Brotzeit calculated to make German and Austrian guests feel at home. Before we departed on our planned climbing tour of the national park, our host offered some insightful and pertinent advice on parking at the trailhead, which trails to choose, and what to watch out for in terms of weather.”
