Nothing was too much trouble: at my request, they changed my room for another more conveniently situated one; they printed off a map and directions for somewhere I wished to visit. Because it was originally a Victorian mansion rather than a purpose built hotel it had interesting odd corners where one could sit and read and enjoy a pot of tea or coffee.”
