“The location was amazing. There was no parking at the hotel, but we were able to drop off our luggage and then go park down the street in a parking lot. The hotel is in a building that was built in the 1200s. So there is a narrow cobblestone lane between the hotel and the buildings across the lane. You are within a couple of hundred feet of the center of the old city. It was enchanting! The owners were very friendly and helpful.”
“The decor of the whole building was very charming, especially the breakfast room. The host was very accommodating, and room had plenty of space. It felt like a small apartment even though it was just a large bedroom.”
“1) good location, the restaurants and center are nearby, only for 1 minute walking 2) the host is friendly and helpful 3) you can go across the road to walk along the river Donau. And it takes 20 to 30 minutes walking to the pier 4) if you love the old building and deco , trust me, you will love this hostel 5) there are many hangers in the closet”

Their residence is in a perfect location--a short walk to the train station and Melk abbey and easy to get to bike rental and ferry. Good choice of restaurants are just a stone's throw away. We really enjoyed the small-town feel of Melk and our stay at the Goldener-Stern.”
