“I've read some really bad reviews about the hotel and it's staff but was willing to give it a go. I booked the trip as a pre Christmas treat for my elderly parents so that I could take them shopping then have a relaxing evening meal and a night away from home. They loved it and i was pleasantly surprised. When we checked in there were some lovely touches in their room, pieces of cake and cheesecake for the 3 of us beautifully presented with fresh berries and in both rooms a small box of chocolates. The rooms wetr a good size and we had a great view from the balconies ....luckily we had some sun so although chilly my Dad could still sit out there for a morning cuppa. All staff at the hotel were lovely...helpful and friendly. Both the evening meal in the restaurant and breakfast were very good. The location is great for shopping and the port.”

Attended a gala dinner at the event in the evening which was part of the conference I was attending which was superb - food gorgeous. Whilst there were cheaper places to stay, well worth the money and would highly recommend.”

“The room was huge and very comfortable. The bathroom was separated by a lobby area which was a lovely idea. The toiletries were plentiful and had a wonderful scent. Comparatively this hotel was a lot better value for money than some of the others in Southampton.”
“The Maintenance Man Professional.Fixed Heat, clogged sink and cut lock off my bag that got damaged intransit. Breakfast was buffet but staff was helpful and attentive. Bellman was great directions,taxi,bag pick up for taxi.”
