“A good hotel with early 20th century charm. Clean room, good wifi. Nice breakfast. Reasonable price. 5 minute walk to the train station. My compliments to the hotel staff, they were always very kind and efficient.”
“The bar was a real haven - comfortable and welcoming with generous and reasonably priced (for Sweden) drinks. The hotel is charming, spotlessly clean and wonderfully situated. Bed and bathroom excellent.”
“The location could not be better for a visit to Uppsala. We were in a first floor room overlooking the river but there is not much motor traffic to disturb. It is an attractive building but in need of refurbishment. The breakfast buffet is good and the bar has a good ambiance.”
“Fantastic staff, awesome breakfast. Bar could do with some improvements.”
“We loved the old, renovated, traditional building overlooking the river. The hotel upgraded us to a room with a balcony. It was really beautiful.”
“The croissants were good;) and the breakfast was as expected in Sweden, very good with lots of healthy alternatives including a choice between hard and soft boiled eggs, smoked salmon, lots of different sorts of bread and fresh orange juice as well as excellent coffee. Just stay away from the hot breakfast! The omelette only taste of salt as does the bacon that I found swimming in water and oil...yuck!! The bathroom had underfloor heating making it the warmest room...which was lovely. Picturesque view from the 4th floor. Soft bed linen. Nicely scented shampoo, conditioner and soap. Great water pressure and as much hot water as you can use ;)”
“Central location, easy to reach by car or public transport. Recently refurbished to very high standard. Good breakfast. Car parking available - essential to book (only 5 places, SEK 110).”
“Nice hotel at a good, central location. Very friendly staff. Reasonable breakfast.”
“Everything, especially the tastefully appointed room and building.”
“I loved the location by the canal and the old building with an up to date classic interior. The staff was very friendly and welcoming”
