“This is a famous historical hotel with a breathtakingly beautiful tiled and decorated exterior, positioned very nicely back from the broad main street in the Lido. The staff are wonderfully friendly and helpful and the breakfasts as good as any I have ever had in Italy. It is only a few minutes walk from the hotel to the excellent boat station which takes you very quickly to St Marks, but the area is free of the bustle and the crowds. A truly marvellous find!”

We had the best meal at the hotel in the evening, ate out twice in the evening but found the standard was pretty average to poor e.g. 'tourists put up with anything - high price for low quality food', a failing throughout venice. However the food in the hotel was excellent so ate there twice.”
“This is really an old style Grand Hotel! The building itself, the staff, the interior, furnishigs (which in other case I would call outdated) transfer you into the atmospehere of luxury hotels in the beginning of the XX century, like you can see them in movies. Time is frozen here. Great breakfast buffet and great location between the vaporetto stop and the beach should be mentioned as well.”
