“This hotel was only open since a few months; hence, it is a brand-new building. I had selected the hotel for its location at walking distance (5-10 min.) from the Nangang Exhibition Centre. Very friendly staff. It felt as if I got a special treatment by the front-desk staff. Also the in-house restaurant (which operates as a separate company, so you cannot put the dinner on your hotel bill) was great (although pricey for Taiwanese norms: set menu with 5 courses for ~1100 TWD). After having eaten there three nights, the entire restaurant staff knew me and even the chef came out of the kitchen to chat with me. BTW, I don't speak Chinese; all of this was in English.”
