“We had spotted this hotel when we passed through the town last year, Since we were going back to Brissac-Quincy to buy some more wine (at Chateau la Varriere) we thought we would actually stay overnight and do the chateau tour. So glad we did. Very nice staff; lovely airy room; comfy bed etc; the gardens are just wonderful for relaxing in. We could have eaten the evening meal outside too if wanted. Very close to river for a lovely evening stroll. It was a very nice feel, small hotel - not a modern plastic box, but somewhere with ambience. Breakfast was nice too. the parking for the hotel is also the parking for the Chateau and only a two minute walk into town - which is lovely.”
