“A Périgord-style inn right by the Dordogne, close to the village of St Julien-de-Lampon and half-way between Souillac and Sarlat. It's a pleasant place to stay, especially for couples who want a quiet spot from which to explore the area. I was in the annexe, built of local stone, and the room was airy and good value for money. Attractive restaurant with local specialities. Handy parking.”

“Our room and the whole hotel has just been beautifully refurbished. The owner is using traditional designs and materials, and has built a great lookout tower 15 min walk up the hill behind the hotel via a well-constructed path. 360 degree views of the river and lovely countryside. The owner's restaurant 1km away provided great meals of local produce and good service.”

“The rooms were very clean and the area was completely silent. The Wi-Fi worked well and the bed wasn't so bad. We loved the on-site restaurant and their chef that opened up the kitchen for us in the middle of the winter (we were the only ones in the hotel). She cooked a fabulous home cooked meal for us at a very good price. This hotel is perfect if you have a car and are exploring the region, but it is just a nice stopover.”
