Lovely cat too, Paloma, who was positive charming. Centrally located, so easy to get around Saumur. Fridge in room. Very comfortable bed and generally a very comfortable place. As a solo traveller it is important to find somewhere you feel relaxed and safe, this was perfect.”

“The word 'bijou' could have been created for this hotel. It really is very elegant and perfectly formed in a small way. The decoration is perfect and our room was beautifully furnished with a wonderful bathroom (excellent shower!!) and spotlessly clean throughout. The location in the old city is unbeatable; a few minutes walk to the chateau, at least three of the Saumur wine caves, a dozen or more good restaurants and all the main shops.”
