“The hotel Hostess, Claudette, went above & beyond to make us feel welcomed. She recommended and then offered to book for us reservations at restaurants all 3 of our nights of our stay, including a 1 star Michelin which we didn't even know was in St Jean du Luz! And, it was just across the street from the hotel. Also, she was so sweet, and brought us coffee every morning to our room!!! The rooms were comtemporary decorated, the bed was great, and the rooms spotlessly clean. The room had a little balconey over the main pedestrian street, but they were absolutely quiet at night (due to the double pane windows and shutter) Perfect location, wonderful hostess, and lovely rooms. Awesome. We'd stay there again in a heartbeat.”

“Claudetta, the proprietor and Geraldine, her daughter, were extremely friendly and accommodating. They helped us with our luggage, kept the facility and our room very clean, provided directions and info about the town and nearby Cibore graciously. The full hotel breakfast including fresh squeezed orange juice, eggs, etc was priced reasonably. Beyond all that when we thought we had lost 1 of the only 2 keys they had to our room, they gave us the other without 1 bit of rancor.”

“My partner and I reside in South Africa. Visiting Europe is very expensive for us. We don't always find the exceptional hotels in our price bracket. What a pleasure staying at Hotel Txoko in the heart of St Jean.From the minute we met Claudette the owner our few days in St Jean were just perfect. The room was spacious, decorated in basque style. The aircon has full climate control. The shower was awesome.Claudette will arrange a yummy breakfast offering more food if you're still hungry.If you enjoy the beach you are supplied with an umbrella and beach towels. Thanks so much for everything you did for us. We will return.”

“Great location - blocks from the beach in old town. Easy to walk everywhere. The staff was friendly & helped us book restaurant reservations. The rooms are small, but very cute & comfortable. We had a lovely time.”

“Right in the pedestrian area not far from the beach so an excellent location. Clean, recently renovated hotel with air conditioning, which was welcome as it was quite warm. There was a street festival on the day we left and the hotel had emailed to tell us about this and offered the chance to cancel if we thought we might be disturbed by the noise, which I thought was a nice touch.”

“We had a room with a small terrasse, where we could have breakfast and relax. The room has good beds and clean bathroom. When you go to the beach, you get a nice bag with beachtowel and a mat. The owner is exceptionally friendly and helpful, she really made us feel welcome and "at home".”
