“Our second stop on our weekend break. Fantastic hotel with very pleasant owners/staff. Nothing is too much trouble. The room was very good, clean, comfortable bed and a great integrated shower/toilet facility. They had a record of all our requirements through Booking.Com particularly of a table in the restaurant that evening. The food is very good and freshly prepared and cooked to perfection. There is limited parking at the back, but we left the car outside the front of the hotel which was perfectly safe. There is a lot to see and do in the area particularly if you like walking although the weather was not that kind to us on the day, but we still managed to get out and walk around. There is a fantastic honey shop just over the bridge and up the road a bit. Once again we found the prices of everything good value including the beer and wine!! We would recommend this hotel to anyone particularly if you want a walking holiday.”

“Excellent lake front location - probably the best in a small town. Nice hotel restaurant ( not a great deal of others to choose from) enjoyed the restaurant ambience and had a good meal there. Whole experience was very pleasant, would recommend and stay and eat there again. Good value for money. Free parking out front on lakeside.”

“Lovely position overlooking a lake, at the edge of the magical woods. Lots of walks nearby. The little town has shops for stocking up for picnics etc and Thursday's market was very good. helpful, friendly staff.”
