“Wonderful hotel tucked away in a beautiful part of the country. The staff was beyond friendly and helpful. We had breakfast and dinner everyday and lunch a couple of the days. The food was always exceptional. The property itself is really cozy and feels authentic. The views are beautiful and the overall ambiance is really peaceful. The only criticism is that it felt a little expensive for the region and the cost of excursions arranged through the hotel we're costly. Of course it was very convenient to have them arrange everything and our guide for two excursions was really the best. His name is Carmillo and he was super knowledgable, totally fluent in English, and did everything to make sure we had a perfect and authentic experience. So, in the end, we didn't mind the cost as it felt like a world class value.”

“Peaceful atmosphere. Beautiful grounds with many trails. Fantastic birdlife (Camilo is a knowledgeable guide - but should be equipped with telescope/ tripod). Good food, especially evening meals served outside. Helpful and friendly staff. Interesting excursions.”

“Far away from everything, Bambusa is a destination, not just a place to sleep. Rooms are super clean and are tastefully decorated, they have private outdoor terrace or garden and the bed is very comfortable. Nature all around the property is amazing and surprisingly insects are not annoying. Food and drinks prices are very reasonable, and the chef is happy to accommodate special requests. The Cocoa and Bamboo walk around the property with Camilo is a must. ”

“We had a wonderful stay at Bambusa. The staff went out of their way to make our experience exceptional. Comfortable, spacious rooms and relaxing atmosphere. Food was very good and we liked that they changed the dining setting every night. Although they normally do not receive many families with young children, they really cared for our two year old daughter. Do try to spend time at the hacienda rather than going from one tour to the next.”
