“The staff were courteous and personal. I was travelling with my 90 year old mother to attend a family wedding. My mother has dementia, however, the receptionist chatted with her even though my mother was silent, and at the end of the 'chat', my mother smiled. I appreciated that although the receptionist did not know my mother, she treated her like a 'real person' & did not let mother's obvious mental limitations limit interactions with her. The receptionist also took the extra step of offering us complimentary bottled water. The staff member in the dining area was very warm & gracious and talked with both of us. She even noticed that I had forgotten to give my mother a beverage, so she actually served mother a beverage. I am a retired psychiatric nurse and was very impressed and thankful that the staff engaged my mother in their interactions. Oh, and they were very nice to me too. :-)”
