“We did not have a reservation when we arrived. We had originally booked the room from April 26 - May 3, but changed it to May 3 - 10. We got a confirmation email of the change from Booking.com, but when we arrived Homewood Suites by Hilton did not have a reservation for us. When we showed them the email with the confirmation, we were told that since we didn't show April 26, we had been charged a no-show fee, and we should take it up with Booking.com. It was in the evening and we had flown several hours and were tired, so we asked if they had a room. They did, and we stayed there for a week. We intend to follow up being charged a no-show fee when we had a confirmation email of our reservation.”
