“Superb location high above the Weissensee, 10k west of Fuessen. The hotel is on the top of a hill and ideally a car is needed for exploring the area. The castles of King Ludwig II are famed and in the films 'Chitty chitty bang bang' and the 'Great Escape' with Steve McQueen & many other stars was filmed in this area. The hotel is as you would expect from a 4* hotel, with swimming pool & Spa facilities. The breakfast is varied & plentiful. The evening meals are superbly cooked. The staff are excellent, friendly, helpful & appealing in their 'Dirndls' Would I stay there again - yes.”
