“Lovely hotel right in the middle of historic centre of Cartagena. Staff were very friendly, spoke English well, gave us local information and helped us organise trips and taxis. We had a room on the second floor close to the pool which was quiet and comfortable, clean with good facilities. Breakfast was really good and coffee and cool water was always available which was welcome. We were very grateful for the loan of an umbrella as there were several huge thunderstorms during our stay!”

“Fantastic location. Incredible staff. Boutique hotel. I highly recommend Hotel Las Carretas as a place to stay while in Cartagena's Walled City. Located near the Clock Tower and park to Getsemani. There are only 14 rooms in this boutique hotel. This allows the staff to cater to each guest. The staff is incredible. The rooms are pristine. Each morning, there is a full breakfast which includes eggs and a local specialty. Once you're seated, the staff takes your order. It was my 40th birthday during the stay and the staff decorated my room with balloons and a cake. Such a special place. ”
“We arrived to the hotel both sick with fever and for two days the staff took care of us (called the doctor twice, arranged a doctor's visit and payment, made sure we ate soups and healthy...).
