“A lovely rustic room, good bed, food was good and the restaurant is nicely decorated and with good relaxing music. Beautiful birds to photograph too. The owner had a really nice gesture when I left: he gave me the hotel card and told me "as you are travelling alone, if you have any problem, just call me, I know people everywhere!". I really appreciated that. Thanks God, everything went ok, I'm safe, at home, now, and I send him a hug from Portugal :)”

“This is an excellent hotel,a trully great place. The personal attention we received made us feel at home. We used La Jimenita as a base from which we explored the beautiful city of Quito as well as organised several day trips. A significant number of cultural activities as well as outstanding nature l reserves are within reach in a daily trip from the hotel. The trails are interesting and we recommend spending a few hours walking to get a flavor of the luxurious natural environment. We also appreciated the possibility to eat at any time as well as the high quality of the food. Jimenita is a family owned and run establishement and the owner is full of advice that will enable you to better enjoy the wondeful country that is Equator!”

“Beautiful old hacienda with lovely grounds and walking trails. Loved the feeling of almost staying on someone's ranch and it was very relaxed and chilled. If you want to see hummingbirds great location. Also very close to the airport so great for an overnight stay. Would recommend to anyone who wants a bit of peace and quiet”
