“The hotel is close to city center and is situated in a lovely area. You can either walk to the Circular Quay or there are public transport options close by. Before booking this hotel I have read tons of bad reviews saying that the room is too tiny. I booked the room which was supposed to be the tiniest and for 2 people with 3 suitcases it was enough. Don't get me wrong, this is not a penthouse but its not that claustrophobic either. I have been traveling throughout Australia, NZ and Fiji for a month, I have stayed at Hilton, Mercure, Westin, Meriton, Adina, Quay hotel chains but Hotel Challis was by far the cleanest place I've ever been to during my trip. Congrats to your cleaning ladies! I am truly grateful to them for making my stay very comfortable since I get to be a bit of a freak when it comes to this matter. “It has verymodern fixtures and is very clean. Some may think some rooms are small. However we found it a very good value for money in the Sydney area. It also is located in a good area. The only drawback we found would be the entrance involves stairs that may provide difficulty for the elderly or disabled that have luggage.”
