“Hotel de Cite had a problem with my booking and asked if I would mind changing to their associated hotel de France et Chateaubriant. They contacted me by phone in extremely good English to offer this room at Hotel de Cite rates. I was very happy to accept this upgrade and I enjoyed my stay. I have previously stayed at Hotel de Cite and would be happy to stay at either hotel.”

“Within the walls of St.Malo, very good location for bars and restaurants, a short walk. Driving their is a bit of a tour round the back streets, but worth it for parking, this is on two levels via a lift for smaller cars to the lower level. We often use this hotel for a stop over when we have a car with us.”

“We had a terrible crossing from Portsmouth so we were delighted when our room was available for us at 10 a.m. so we could have a snooze before exploring. Parking nearby was fairly easy but metered. Free after 7 p.m.”

“Check in lady excellent and informative. Room very good for price, but no facility for hot drinks in room. Shopping is excellent and,amazingly, some parts of France open on Sunday! Superb restaurant around the corner at "Le Bistro de Jean" pricey but the best food we've had in France in 10 years. Overall, we had an excellent time in St. Malo. It's for tourists so not cheap but we enjoyed our stay immensely.”

“- Location is great: in the old city, near the wall, it takes only 5 minutes to get on the beach - Restaurants and bars are very close to the hotel - There is a public parking just in front of the hotel - Staff is very friendly and helpful - Enjoyed the parking experience in the hotel's garage using the elevator :) Great value for money, hard to find anything better in the same location.”

“The Hotel de la Cite is located about 4 blocks from the main entrance of Saint Malo. The higher rooms have a view of the sea and ramparts, which are magnificent. The rooms are simple but comfortable and very clean. I will definitely stay here again. I greatly appreciated the personal attention and support from reception to extend my stay. The hotel is very convenient for exploring Saint Malo.”
