“Good breakfast, clean room, venerable building in the heart of the city.”
“Location is good and the staff are very friendly and welcoming. The room was clean, comfortable and a good size. We enjoyed a good nights sleep.”
“Very central location in Auxerre. Public carpark is free from 7pm till 9am and all day on Sunday. Can't comment on breakfast as we left early.”
“Great location and a good size room in a very old building. Owner spoke no English but we managed with basic French and lots of gesticulatin!”
“Very good location in the city centre. You can walk everywhere. Big public parking in front of the hotel, cheaper than the hotel's one. Comfortable mattress. Quiet place.”
“Auxerre is a very small town - everything's walkable. The location of the hotel is OK. It's right in the centre of town. Staff were friendly in the expected "surly French service" way - their dog very friendly too!”
“Great location, pleasant host. The room and especially the bathroom were dated but everything worked okay. Breakfast was fine, coffee was good.”
“Lovely breakfast, excellent evening meal, wonderful location”
“To be quite honest, the only positive attribute this hotel had to offer was the location. Nestled in the heart of Auxerre, it was very convenient to stroll downtown.”
“Very comfortable and typical old hotel. A maze of stairs through narrow hallways with carpeted walls to a small, clean, quiet, lovely room. A small sign on the bathroom sink warns dear guests that it's an old building and it takes a moment for hot water to arrive. But once it does, it's hot and there's plenty. Location is perfect, on one of the two or three streets in town that have anything going on in the evening. There's a large pay parkinglot directly across the street which is free until 9am. Plus the town gives you one free hour of parking per day (slightly complicated procedure at the parking pay-box). If I ever return, this is where I would stay again.”
