“The location is the best possible in the center of town, very close to the main sights of principal interest. The hotel is of the boutique type, family-run, atmosoheric, quiet, and friendly to guests. Ferrara is a very interesting city. But at the moment some of the major sites of historical and/or architectural interest are undergoing repair, including the Diamond Palace, the Cathedral (facade), and the 3 synagogues.”

“Family run hotel super location across road from Castello Estense. Taxi was €9 from train station. Old building sympathetically updated and decorated with flair. Very nice helpful people on reception - good suggestions. Room well fitted out but a bit dark. Snores from next door managed to percolate wall but in general quiet. Nice breakfast - cold buffet in Italian style with good coffee freshly made on request . Airport bus/fly 200 yards away €15. If staying a few days consider MyFe card €14 for 3 days - as well as free entries most museums/castle etc gets you no city tax for up to 2 nights (€4 per night per person) and €1.50 reduction on airport shuffle”
