“The Ducan hotel is in a small village a bus ride away from Davos but is located higher up than Davos. It is a perfect starting point for various hikes in the area. The hotel manager was very supportive, which was particularly important as I arrived before the actual season started, so buses did not run frequently and none of the two restaurants in town were open. Wifi is freely available. Rooms are rustic but very comfortable.”
