“Located in a small town on the German/Czechia border with spectacular views over mountains and forests. Larger than average, comfortable rooms with mountain views all round. The "boss" is a really lovely lady who can't do enough to make your stay memorable. Generous breakfast buffet and an adjoining restaurant doing traditional Bavarian/Bohemian meals. Vegetarian options available. Great location to explore the Bavarian/Bohemian Forest nature parks. The border is completely open and rail or bus services connect with Plattling (D) or Plzen (CZ). Next to the station (which straddles the border) is the local railway museum, which is well worth a visit.”

“Owners were extremely helpful, pleasant and always available. Dagmar and Veronika were so friendly and helpful, we loved them! We ate at the Eisensteiner Hof both nights and my wife and I had a wonderful time . . . well prepared dishes, superbly delicious and very reasonable . . . couldn't be any better!!! Breakfast was plenty, excellent selection and excellent. The hotel was very conveniently located and only five minute walk from the train station. The place was VERY clean. We will definitively go back!!!”

“We enjoyed with the family of our daughter with 2 kids which was accommodated in a room next to ours the close proximity by car to the Grosser Arber skiing resort (8 km), the quiet location with the GA mountain view from our rooms, friendliness of staff, culinary dinners as well as very good breakfasts. The rooms were perfectly clean and comfortable, only the bed for me and my wife seemed a bit too soft, which is of course depending on personal preference. We want for sure to come back sometimes again.”
