“Central littoral location and the third floor sea views . A jaded but friendly place with helpful concierge and decent breakfast. Museum piece of a shower (the all body multi jet type with drench and hand held options too....good to see it in working order). Unsafe kettle as handle became hot during boiling, beware! Hard basic beds but ok. A.C. was v good and quiet; a boon late at night when but for the motorbikes who noisily ride the promenade we would have had the windows open. Tip...try the tavern next to the little triangular space on the front south of the hotel (50m)....really good burgers and totally unpretentious food generally at v good prices. Better than the other tavernas north of the hotel.IMHO. Go to the Temple site at the north west tip of the peninsular, by the lake. Lovely. Hidden, worth the drive.”

“The Excelsior is in a fantastic location. The beach is across the boulevarde from the hotel and the views are spectacular. A good variety of restaurants are nearby. The staff were very nice and the breakfast provided was good. Having breakfast in the restaurant area facing the beach was spectacular”
