We knew little about the area but, when we arrived a little early, our host suggested a visit to Dinkelsbühl, about 6 km away. We spent a couple of hours there exploring the historic walled town. Dürrwangen also offered some interesting walking around town. We ate at the restaurant and had good food and service before a comfortable night in a well presented room.”

The owner, Otto, was very helpful and a mine of information about what to do and see - provided you understand German. His English is very basic.”

The breakfast was wonderful and it was enjoyable to talk with our host. The comforters that were on the bed were absolutely WONDERFUL! They were extra comfortable and the bedding was great!”
