“Staff always outshine facilities as they are the heart of the hotel and all the staff were superb in their efforts to make me welcome and nothing was a bother...reception man went out of his way to spend time in explaining some train times, and all with not a hint of impatience due to my nil Japanese. And yes, the hotel was wonderful...very upmarket with a peaceful atmosphere, and old world charm, with whisper quiet time to relax in the lounge...hot spring baths were excellent...the staff at dinner were so attentive and were dressed in lovely outfits....and I enjoyed dressing in the traditional outfit which required some help from the ever helpful staff....thank you to all of them.”
“夕食を予約していなかったのですが、五能線が大雨で大幅に遅れ、食べるお店も閉まってしまい、困っていたところ、部屋に案内してくれた方に相談したところ、急遽私が食べたかったヒラメの漬け丼(鰺ヶ沢名物です)を作ってくださいました。夜、ロビーで津軽三味線の生演奏がありました。迫力がありました。”
