“This hotel was a great find. The staff hospitality was warm and friendly throughout, our room was clean and spacious and the fine dining and breakfast were ideal for us. The local Tourist Office recommended a drive of about 70 miles along the nearby Deutche Fehnroute, which took in windmills, lifting bridges and locks so we saw these features and the lovely local countryside along the way. There was a lively dragon boat competition in progress during our stay and this activity made Leer an interesting two day stopover, which we intend to repeat next year.”
