“Our host was very helpful about the road conditions and what to see in the area”
“The location is great for exploring western Iceland. It is about 1hr 30mins traveling time from the International Airport. There is complimentary Tea and Coffee all the time in the breakfast room. The breakfast is varied, but no hot items, apart from Toast. It is Buffet Style. The Hot water in the hotel comes from a Geo-Thermal spring some 30 miles away as does all the Hot water in the area. The water contains mild amounts of sulphur, which isn't hazardous to you or your skin, but will turn silver black, not permanently, but silver jewellery etc will need cleaning. All in all this Hotel was very good value, we had our own private bathroom, which seemed a rarity in a lot of Iceland Hotels that I searched in preparation for this Trip. We stayed 3 nights, went to the Blue Lagoon, and saw the northern lights. Be aware that Iceland is expensive. But I would imagine you know that already.”
“We saw northern light just outside the hotel. The owner is very helpful and friendly. He even made the effort to knock on our door when northern light appears. Offered different room optional when he saw we travelled with a toddler. Thumbs up. Location is good with supermarket few mins drive away.”
