“Decided to stay at Möhnesee in order to see for ourselves the famous dam, target of the Dambuster raid in 1943. On arrival, found we had been allocated a North-facing room, but the receptionist very quickly rearranged a large single room for us so that we had a splendid view of the lake. The rooms are furnished in an older style, while our bathroom was obviously quite newly renovated. Dinner portions in the restaurant are large, so we could almost have shared a (very tasty) steak!”
“Very nice hotel with brightfull view at Möhnesee. Hotel is located in a beautifull building and surrounded with a nice garden and wood. Room was classic and comfortable. Good breakfast. The restaurant is very good, bit expensive compared to a normal "gasthof". The kitschen is defintely of a higher quality. The choice at the menu is not that large but sufficient. What we had was excellent and tasty. The hotel offers value for money.”

Really beautiful place to stay (take a walk in the woods and see the deers just in front of the hotel!), view from the room at the Mohnesee and the hotel has this classic vibe to it which is great I think. Food is good (lot of choice at breakfast), staff is friendly (not the lady at check out, didn't even try to speak English).”
