“The staffs are very extraordinary! The one at reception came wit me to the room to show the facilities of my room and also helpful to the interesting places in Appenzell town. Another one at breakfast room, she is so kind and attentive even I was the only one Asian there. The location is also great, just opposite Appenzell Museum and tourist information in the middle of Appenzell city. They also provided me a welcome drink which you can select for beer, water or house wine. The Breakfast was super!! You can find Appenzell cheese, Milk and Yogurt here. There were a lot of choices to have for breakfast as well!! I will recommend this hotel to all my family members and friend! and I will come back to stay in this hotel for sure.”
“What a lovely little hotel and Appenzell is always going to have a sweet spot in our hearts. We loved the personality of this town. This hotel also had the fastest Wifi of any hotel we stayed in in Switzerland which was a suprise. Breakfast was amazing and we loved interacting with every member of the staff.”

“The location is smack right in town . We had a room for three people plus a dog , the room was very big , the staff were so friendly and helpful with everything. The breakfast which was included was excellent with local food. The room that we were in was quite we had absolutely no problem with church bells”
“Great location. Very quiet. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was large and clean. Our room was right across from the church, and we got to hear the church bells ring at all times of the day and night. If you don't like church bells, make sure you request ahead of time a room at the back. No parking onsite at this hotel, but there is a car park just across the street (cross over the river). You can drive your car up to the hotel to drop off luggage, then drive up the pedestrian area and take a right to get back to the main roads. That part is a little confusing. If you are coming by train, it would be a quick 5 minute walk from Appenzell station. I would definitely recommend this place for a quiet stay in Appenzell. There isn't a lot to do in the town itself (they don't even have a Coop or Migros!) but it's a great starting point for adventures all around Appenzellerland and St Gallen area.”
