“The location by the beach, the old style building and scenery of the hotel are wonderful. I also like that the staff are natural and helpful and not obsequious so it's relaxed, like staying at someone's house. Uptight people who say the service isn't prompt enough (in other reviews) should go and stay at a slick chain with no soul. The whole point of this is that it is a home from home and actually the staff are very nice indeed. I booked my next stay while I was there as anyone who stays here wants to come back (except for the uptight people which means the other guests are nice too!).”

“The atmosphere in the Hurricane is very special, somehow intimate. It's a unique place, beautifully located, with gorgeous outside spaces, ideal also for the kids to run around safely. We had a room on the back side, facing the mountains. There is not really a view, but sitting on the wast porch is still very pleasant. The room was functional, very clean and the bed unbelivably comfortable. Except when we were sleeping we spent every minute outside anyway. There are plenty of niche corners around the hotel to hang out. I also liked the breakfast buffet - very spanish: sausages, serrano, tomatoes, eggs,fruits, great coffee - all I need.”
