“We could not have asked for a more perfect hotel. From the moment we checked in, we knew we had booked the right hotel in York. The young man at reception made sure we were welcome. We paid a few pounds extra for parking, but that was ok. The hotel opened one year ago and is still new and clean. The room was clean and decorated vey nicely with vintage York. The bed was comfortable and we had a good nights sleep. Convenient location to tour around York. The staff at breakfast were kind and efficient. The breakfast was the best selection and quality we had in over a month of traveling. The staff on check out were kind and helpful. I highly recommend staying at this hotel.”

“Overall this was a great stay - the room was awesome including the bathroom area and the comfort of the bed! Although you may pay a little more, it is worth it I think for all the inclusions including a great breakfast and free mini bar! Convenient for walking The wall and walking into the Shambles and other area within the walls! Most of the staff were awesome!”
“At £265 for a 1 night stay, i expected better. The room given to us was tiny with approximately 10 sq mrs of usable floor space and the onsite restaurant was rubbish. There were 4 other tables at the time we sat down to eat (8:00pm) we ordered and waited 1 hr 10 minutes for my wifes starter to arrive, 10 minutes later mine arrived and it was undercooked. The service in the restaurant was rubbish and the staff seemed disinterested as did reception when i complained about the poor standards. I will never return to this hotel, nor would i recommend it to anyone.”
