“Hotel l'Aut is an absolute delight! An old village house just next to the splendid Romanesque church of Santa Eulalia in Erill la Vall (Vall de Boi), that the family converted into a hotel some years back. Xavier runs the kitchens, Ramon runs the farm, Josep runs the hotel and looks after the guests. Comfortable, well designed, excellent food, fantastic location, warm welcome and extremely reasonable rates. Erill is perfect as a centre for exploring some of the most beautiful mountains and lakes in the Pyrenees, as well as almost a dozen magnificent Romanesque churches and chapels (now a UNESCO World Heritage site) scattered through the nearby medieval villages. (NB the church bells do not ring at night, so how ever close your room is to the church tower you won't be kept awake.) Stay at least 3 nights to enjoy all the Vall de Boi has to offer, and to appreciate the variety of the Hotel de l'Aut's menu!”
