“La Feluca is located in the heart of the wooded hills and mountains at the north of the island and a short distance from the beach. It’s a family hotel run most hospitably by the industrious Paolo and his attractive blonde wife, together with their daughter (the effervescent Nicoletta) and son Raphael (who bakes Elba specialty Schiacci and other delicious cakes guests will find at breakfast). And I'm of the opinion that an hotel that has a cat has an edge on the competition and La Feluca excels with a family of them, each named after members of TV’s Simpsons. Other beaches are accessible with transport as are the island’s Napoleon residences such as Museo Nationale delle Residenze Napoleoniche in Portoferraio’s old town. La Feluca may be a 2-star hotel but it has 5-star hospitality and service!”
“Quiet , wonderful view of the grounds and the water . Excellent buffet breakfast . Great coffee . Bar on site . Great outdoor seating area . Most helpful and friendly staff . Short walk to rests. on the beach . Away from the bustle and noise of Portoferraio but only a short drive .”
“Wonderful view over landscape and bay (and Portoferraio on the other side of the bay) from the little balcony, especially during the sunset. But I am afraid that this view is only really good from room 404, so ask for that room if you go there. (But now it is no secret anymore only known by regulars!)”

“This hotel is a little gem. Old-fashioned italian hotel-style, where you feel very welcome by the personal contacts with the staff and not at least the owner, who is caring much about her guests. The rooms are well laid out with well-functioning bathrooms and a nice balcony or terrace. That every room has a fridge is nice, but you forget that when you look out and admire the view of the village below, the mountains and maybe a little bit of ocean too. Sitting on the balcony a late night is - holiday!”
