“Breakfast was one the best we ever had in a 3 stars hotel. Delicious home made cakes and a huge selection of everything. For the rest, the bedroom and bathroom were spacious and very clean. A big plus was the airco that basically refreshed the room without being disturbing and absolutely with no noise. We slept very well. Hotel location is just 5 km from Lago Maggiore, where hotel prices are definitely higher. Also, Lago di Monate (smaller than Maggiore) was a nice surprise, beautiful and quiet, just 10 minutes walking from La Locanda.”

“I stayed 3 nights on a business trip in this hotel. Staff was kind and except one male receptionist able to speak advanced english. Even so this receptionist gave me a ride from Travedona Biandronno railway station to the hotel (very kind). Breakfast was delicious and generous. Room was clean, sufficient and modern equipt (only italian TV). On prior trips to Italy I experianced that 3 german hotel stars are equal to 4 italian hotel stars. Hotel La Locanda has 3 stars and would also get 2-3 stars in germany. So my stay was more comfortable than expected. It is also quite close to Ispra JRC. Pharmacy and pizza restaurant 50m away.”
