“We booked the hotel on the strength of existing reviews which raved about the view and the meals. So - the view from our (standard) room was a brick wall and a pathway. However the view from the terrace was lovely - it was closed but there were a few chairs and tables available (no cushions, or staff up there) so we sat up there with a bottle of wine which we provided ourselves. The dining room was closed - it was a Tuesday and apparently no-one eats in Livorno on a Tuesday. And the hotel was not actually in Livorno at all, but in a small and practically inaccessible village nearby.”
