“Remote romantic location with an adventurous arrival path! Beautiful dune beaches. The hotel is an old 4 star with a lot charm, its basically in the middle of the beach surrounded by sand, perfect! And the staff was very friendly throughout our stay. Would definitely recommend.”

“It's hard to compare this accommodation with others since it's a very special place. The setting is stunning: the hotel is build on the foundation walls of the terminal buildings of an old lead/zinc mine right on a fantastic wide (and in the end of September completely empty) beach and surrounded by a beautiful dune landscape. So a fascinating combination of industrial heritage and nature. A truly unique experience! The room was fine - clean and comfortable - with sea view from the table and chairs outside. The hotel has an own beach section with sunbeds/umbrellas. The staff was professionally friendly. The buffet breakfast was excellent.”
“Die Lage, die Lage, die Lage. Die Atmosphäre und Einrichtung(auf eine schöne Weise leicht antiquiert) in der American Bar und auf der Terrasse, das ganze Gebäude. Der Strand (wenn man laaaange, fast menschenleere Strände a la Nordsee mag) ist wunderbar, die Dünen im Hintergrund, die absolute Ruhe (sieht man mal vom Summen der Mücken in der Nacht ab), die Exklusivität des Ortes. Es gibt Antimücken-Stecker, die wir leider erst nach zwei Stunden Mückenjagd entdeckten.”
