“Always return. Just excellent, historic religious building next door to monastery on top of mountain overlooking lake.”

, United Kingdom

“We return here whenever we pass into Spain via the Pyrenees. Good rooms, good food, excellent surroundings at this historic religious building. Once again we enjoyed the monks' sung service next door in the Monastery.”

, United Kingdom

“The views were sublime. The restaurant was good value.”

, Australia

“Amazing views. We could see vultures in the mountains from the bathroom window. Comfortable beds. Modern decor and a luxury bathroom.”

, United Kingdom

“The hotel is in the monastery itself, overlooking a lake (Embalse de Yesa). It is very quiet (also during the day). There is plenty of room to park and the visit of the monastery was very nice (well explained and very cheap). We also had breakfast and diner which were simple and good. We could easily attend one of the monks' services where they did Gregorian chants. Nice !”

“Beautiful hotel in peaceful setting. Food in restaurant excellent with professional and friendly service.”

, Spain

“This is a beautiful site, comparable to a Parador yet run by the Monastery. Easy to find, parking is shared with the day visitors but is safe (we left the car unlocked...) . The Hotel is in the old part of the building with the attendant charm but it is fully modernised with proper elevator. The rooms may have been monks' cells but you would never know. Decent size for a short stay and the small bathroom is fine, enjoying a nice view too. Very quiet at night until the first bell at 6am. Two features we enjoyed - the Service with the Benedictine monks chanting Gregorian hymns at 7pm was in harmony with the whole surroundings. The Monks are aging so this may not be going on for ever.... The dinner was delightful and good value helped by a super friendly waiter”

“We loved the view of the monastery walls and bell tower outside our window- we could watch the church bell ringing- and the natural beauty of the environment. The place was spotless, our room included pretty hand painted flowers above the bed, and we enjoyed sitting under a tree at the little cafe with a glass of the local liqueur, overlooking the enchanting view of the hills. The peace and the clean air were a welcome change after the noisy hustle of Barcelona, and we strolled the property several times.”

, USA

“Is was very special to stay at this Century-Old monasterio, located on a beautiful spot in the landscape. We were served a perfect and very complete breakfast by a funny and professional memorabel member of staf, Nicolae. And a great experience to attent the services at the church of the monastery.”
