“The manager was kind and helpful. For example, he made us breakfast for early morning safari. He really made us feel welcome. The room was very clean and comfortable with ac. A fridge was a nice bonus to keep the beers cold. The scenery to the rice field and lake was absolutely beautiful and we could see some peacocks on the fields too.”
“Hotel is located close to the center, where you can find restaurants and supermarkets. Bus terminal is just a 3 minute walk away, busses to Matara stop in front of the hotel. Room was very clean. Lovely view to the lake from the terrace”
“Place was located right in Tissa and with only staying for one night for Yala it was perfect. The manager was so kind to let us come back from the safrai and shower and check out We organised our trip from Yala there and we got an excellent driver who knew the park like the back of his hand and we were one of the very lucky ones to see the leopard.”

“We were placed in the wrong room upon our arrival, however the owner came at our request and immediately offered us the better room (actually what we booked). He was genuinely trying to solve the issue and did his best to make us comfortable. We absolutely loved the view onto the rice field and Tissa lake from the terrace! The nature is amazing there and the sunset are some of the world's most beautiful. The hotel is very clean and the rooms are big enough for a two night stay (what you basically need when visiting Yala National Park) ”
“New, small and clean hotel in nice surroundings. The view from the balcony is beautiful! The owner got up at 5 am to give us our to-go breakfast before our safari and he gave us an extra half an hour to shower before check out. Definitely good value for money!”

“The staff were very helpful and accomadated us nicely getting tuktuks and making veggi options for 5am breakfasts and dinners. The location is good for safaris to different parks and you are within walking distance of a few places to eat and a supermarket. Room was clean and comfortable, bed was nice and big and we had a view over the paddy fields which was lovely. Overall a good experience and I would recommend”
