“Location, location, location. The Movieworld Hotel (don't let the name discourage you) is located just beyond the end of Platform 1 of the train station so you can roll your bags right to the door. And the view from the breakfast (and lunch/dinner as well) terrace must be the best view in Spiez, looking down at the castle, the boat landing, Lake Thun and the mountains beyond. We took every opportunity to eat there just for the view.”
“Stayed here a few times and the Hotel is always consistent with it's services and cleanliness etc. Literally it is at the end of the station platform so an execellent base to discover the area and Switzerland from with good train services. The hotel is based around movie themes and houses it's own cinema but offers good Swiss hospitality from the friendly owners and no nonsence food and breakfast with a nice view of Lake Thun”
“- attentiveness of staff / staff very flexible and accommodating - close to train station - very nice terrace with view - coffee/tea in room - small balcony attached to room I had - staff know their guests (7 rooms) - next to restaurant and shopping facilities - some drinks in fridge (in hall) for a small fee - when staff was made aware of something they were very responsive As I was there to attend an event in another city, I did not take advantage of the DVD player in room and the cinema in the same building, but is a nice extra for those wanting to relax after a day of exploring.”
“Movieworld is a small hotel close to the Spiez railway station, the staff is very friendly and personal and there is a terrace with great views. A very good base for exploring the mountains of the Berner-Oberland!”

“Really loved this hotel! All of the staff, the owners and their family, The people who worked in the restaurant and the people who cleaned the rooms were all very friendly and helpful to me and I am sure all of their guests. The location so close to the station is a big bonus. The rooms are spacious and well furnished. The bathroom and lovely shower were also excellent. I personally had a small medical emergency which was coped with so well. I felt quite emotional leaving and would want to further express my thanks to them for such a lovely stay in Spiez.”
