“My room at the Oceano had a little balcony looking directly onto the ocean. The room was good-sized, the bed comfortable, and everything was spotless. The desk staff were helpful and let me leave my bag there after I checked out so I could explore without the burden. I would have enjoyed the room more if it had not been so dark and had so few lamps. It was difficult to read at night. Ask for a room on the highest floors to avoid some of the street noise. The breakfast was fine, lots of choices. The location is great, right on the main beach-front street with lots of restaurants and shops. It's very close to the oldest part of the town where there are some lovely old buildings and tiny churches, and the funicular up to Sítio. It's a five minute walk to the bus stop too.”
