“What's not to like!Thoroughly recommend gent for a short stay and this hotel is great....... really good bar, wifi good, mini bar nice touch, separate apartment ideal and nicely decorated. Fed minutes walk from the action!”
“Convenient location. Easy access to main attractions”
“Quiet but central location. Rather quirky, being linked to an Irish bar. Good breakfast. Clean, bright, spacious room.”
“Very pleasant and friendly staff, great location just off the river in the city centre-- ideal!”
“We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Onderbergen. The hotel is in a great location in Ghent, in a quiet street, rather secure and close to two tram lines and an easy 10 minute tram ride to Saint-Pieter Station, however it was easy walking distance to attractions, eateries & shops that we happily walked everywhere. The staff were friendly and spoke English. The wifi free and good connection. Our room was amazing and very comfortable, however we had to take a few stairs to reach it as we were on the top floor, not that we minded. Overall we loved staying there and wished we had longer than the 2 nights we’d booked! We’ll definitely return!”
“Breakfast was wonderful. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Clean and comfy.”
“Our room was a brand new fit out in an old building and work was obviously still in progress as the hall way, ect was untidy with piles of building stuff and unrenovated.”
“I rather liked the funky boho chic that credits guests for being travellers who don't need every hotel the same as the previous. In other words, I liked having the Irish pub part of the same building – the breakfast room transitions oddly from neo-Georgian to white-painted mock lumps of stone à la Irish country cottage with pictures of pages from the Book of Kells, begorrah!”
“Stayed in the hotel's apartment - corridors leading to apartment were a bit unwelcoming (felt like private block of flats rather than hotel freindliness) - but actual apartment was fine. It was fun for us to all to be together - although because we have 3 children, I think the sofa was converted into a bed - so one child slept in the living room and there was no sofa. However, it was a great location for easy walk (2-3 mins) into the centre of Ghent.”
“Our room had character as well as being clean and comfortable. So happy to have tea and coffee facilities in our room.”
