“This hotel has the most fantastic setting. The views of the north Tuscan mountains from our room and the restaurant terrace are spectacular. We'd booked for one night but stayed two. The owner, Simone, is a delightful young man, very conversational, and it was a pleasure to spend time with him. His mother does the cooking, and the dinners were wonderful, homemade pasta in multiple forms - and the courses kept coming! What you get for your money at this hotel is amazing.”

“We were there at the end of the season but were treated like kings. The many courses of dinner were locally-sourced traditional local dishes and were delicious. The view from our room was amazing, taking in the whole Serchio valley system plus the mountains beyond. It was constantly changing according to the time of day and the weather - mist in the morning, sunshine, lightening over the mountains one night. The stars were bright in the dark sky, with owls hooting and deer calling in the wooded hills. The owner was genial and helpful, speaking good English. There was a pleasant garden with a small pool, but the latter had closed for winter the previous weekend.”
