“The property is in an upscale, quiet, clean, and very safe neighborhood. It’s not a long walk from the center. Better if you drive. The staff was quite pleasant and the hotel has an interesting African feel to it. Breakfast was tropical German fare. Not great but not bad either. The staff was quite accommodating in that regard. Additionally, the staff was quite helpful when recommending sites and the like. Ultimately, it’s the animals people come to see. My date and I were the only occupants in the hotel that day. We were delighted to see the garden, beautifully maintained koi pond, rabbits to pet, owls to see up close, and of course...Cheetahs! Being so close to these majestic animals will be an experience I won’t forget. My date and I were nothing shy of impressed. The owner, rescues these magnificent creatures from private owners and has done so for nigh on 30 years. Anya and I thank them both, sincerely, for a truly magical visit. ”
“We upgraded to the suite, so we had a lovely sitting area and a balcony. And surprise, surprise there is a cheetah in the garden that I watched from the balcony every chance I got.”
“15 min walk to downtown. Wealthy residential neighborhood. Two leopards on property.”
“Beautiful old house, large clean rooms, it is like being in a colonial building out of Africa. very quirky, with real leopards in the garden, and a tortoise walking around inside.”
“- Room itself was quite spacious, the bathroom to the contrary quite small. - Quiet neighbourhood”
“The hotel had nice athmosphere and good breakfast.”
“I loved the room, it was very spacious and extremely clean ( I did yoga on the floor and the carpeting on the floor really was pristine, what kind of space-technology hoovers do they have?), and it looked like something from the last series of Downton Abbey. Overall, I would definitely come back to this hotel. They should however add kettles and mug to the rooms so guests could make their own tea or coffee. Also, I would say they really could use a workout room, even if small and located in the basement. The building is 100yo, built as an elegant house not a hotel, and working out in your room would make a lot of noise and disturb other people. A workout room in the basement could solve that issue.”
“A very nice old establishment in a very nice neighborhood”
“The location was in a lovely neighborhood with an easy walk to downtown. Breakfast was typical German. A good selection of delicious food. Friendly hosts with interesting hobbies.”
“I liked the location and the peace. It us very peaceful and you can move from all the rush. ”
