“The hotel really is (as it claims) 7 minutes walk from the station, and also 7 minutes walk from the centre of Wurzburg. The staff were helpful, cheerful, friendly, competent, all spoke excellent English, and didn't get tetchy when I made silly mistakes. My room was a bit bigger than I expected, quiet, comfortable, airy, and good to work in, and the en suite shower room had every feature I could have hoped for, all to a high standard and working well. The breakfasts were sensational: lots of an enormous variety of beautiful always fresh food: well presented in an attractive room, and wonderful value. They don't have 24-hour portering, but their measures to cope with that are simple, robust, and worked immediately every time I was late back from somewhere and failed to manage the very up-to-date electronic entry card system, a system that gave me real confidence in their security.”
