“This was a small (but not cramped) and very comfortable room with everything you could expect. The hotel is separated from the Danube by a road, a railway line and open space. The railway is elevated and so while you might think this would block the view of the river from our room we could see it through an arch. We only had one night there and it was a wet day but walking around the property we could see that in good weather it would be simply delightful. The included breakfast was first rate. It is a short walk up into the centre of this beautiful old town, which happens to be where Haydn took his first lessons (he was born in a nearby village). The WiFi was good and there was a good range of English language global news/current affairs channels on the TV.”
“Really nice old building. Renovated with style. Comfortable clean and nice service. garden restaurant in historic yard or at the Donau”
“Great place, nicely furnished rooms, very clean, peaceful atmosphere. Friendly staff. Unique experience. Highly recommend.”
“If you are tired of corporate hotel chain types of accommodations, choose this quiet, cosy place, with very friendly staff, quality food and services in a beautiful location with nice atmosphere by the river of Danube. Not far from Bratislava and easy to reach by car..”
“Location right at the river. Fantastic room, just renovated, extra comfortable bed. Friendly atmosphere - you feel very special.”
“The hotel is beside the ancient city walls of Hainburg an der Donau, a town beside the Dunube with some impressive city gates as well as a castle on the hill behind. Several walking and cycling paths go in front of the hotel (Europe 6, Sultans way etc.) I was following the WWW7, part of the trans-European E4 route. The "room" I was given was actually a suite, with a separate sitting area, wood panelled, bedroom and bathroom. In keeping with the hotel it was very historic (but with modern conveniences in the bathroom). The hotel has been in the family for a hundred years and the current owner was very informative on the history of the area. The food in the restaurant was imaginative, I had carp with horseradish sauce accompanied by sautéed potatoes and beetroots. Art work and photos were attractive and one I found quite arresting.”
“Great staff -- Clemens was particularly helpful for our day trip to Bratislava. Hotel sits on Danube and has outdoor dining/drinking -- amazing ambience directly on the river. Beautiful indoor restaurant and outdoor dining; great breakfast. Secure on-site parking.”
“Clemence (is that the correct spelling?) is your best asset! A wonderful location, and a perfect stop between Vienna and Bratislava if you're on your bike!”
“Excellent meal of locally produced veal from the hotel farm. The staff are soooo welcoming and friendly. Lovely walk along the banks of the Danube. We aim to come back and stay here again.”
“Was an okay stay not very suited for work no desk to work on and not enough outlets .”
