“Why is this place only 3 stars? Sure it's not a new fancy hotel, it's a traditional German hotel family run now in 3rd generation, so it very well run. We were enthusiastically greeted & made to feel welcome, reception girl but immediate rapport with myself, wife & son. The hotel as with the rooms is very quirky, with great character, not sterile & formulated like the majority of places these days. Our room was well appointed, extremely comfortable & one felt immediately relaxed upon entering. The restaurant downstairs was exceptional & again the service was brilliant, with traditional German cuisine that was simply outstanding (possibly the best in our 6 months of travelling).”
“Lovely rooms, Great restaurant and attentive staff. Only stayed for a night but loved it. Very close to the S-bahn and U-bahn so ideal for commute and was a direct train ride from airport. Cooked breakfast would have been a bonus, but the continental breakfast spread was great.”

“The location is very good, only 100 m from a S-Bahn station on the one side and a tram station on the other. The breakfast has a lot of variety, although I would personally only eat a smaller selection with most dishes would not be to my taste. The room was very clean and the staff friendly.”
“We booked this hotel on a last minute shift due to our AirBnB falling through. We were incredibly happy to have found the hotel. We were in town for the closing weekend of the Cannstatter Wasen which means most of the rooms were booked up. The hotel was quaint, very traditional, and very cozy. The staff were incredibly nice and amongst the friendliest I have met. We were able to communicate in German and English (my German isnt the greatest). The breakfast was a full german spread of meats, cheese, bread and fruit.”
